About the club...

...Swarkestone Sailing Club is a small and friendly club with about 250 members. It is an ideal venue to learn the basics of sailing, to dinghy cruise with friends or family, participate in club racing or just sit on the terrace with a drink and watch the sun set over Swarkestone Water. The modern clubhouse and large dinghy park have facilities and equipment for both disabled sailors and juniors.

...Swarkestone Sailing Club is just outside the small village of Swarkestone. From the Derby or Nottingham directions, leave the M1 at junction 24a onto the A50, at junction 3 follow signs for the A514 towards Swarkestone. About half a mile down the road you will see the ‘Crewe and Harpur’ pub on your right, go over the hump back bridge and turn immediately right down Ingleby lane. After approximately 300m you will see a turning on the left signposted Swarkestone Sailing Club. Follow this road until the end where you will arrive at the clubhouse, if the gate is locked, the clubhouse can be contacted on 01332 863220.

We look forward to seeing you!
