Swarkestone’s size, shape, islands and trees makes for tactical racing on Wednesday evenings and Sundays...

Swarkestone plays host to a wide range of racing events throughout the club calendar. We even race on Boxing day! For out larger classes there are annual open meetings, and for our Juniors and Sailability sailors regular traveler meetings. s. These range from class starts, pursuit starts or menagerie

starts. Some races are just for novices, others are just for our champions. There are also trophies to be won by Juniors, Sailability and Ladies. Plus a mixture of short races, long races and match racing. Check out our busy calendar for more details.

Tiger Trophy

Rutland SC

4th and 5th February

This is a large multi-class annual regatta at Rutland Sailing Club.

It usually attracts around 150 sailors from across the country.

Entry fee is £20 which goes to the Steve Nicholson Memorial Trust.

Rutland SC is less than an hour from Swarkestone, and this event is a great opportunity to dust off those hikers after the winter!
