Swarkestone Sailing Club is a long established RYA Training centre which offers courses at a range of abilities for Adults, Juniors, Sailability and those wishing to get involved with safety boats. We also regularly put forward members of our club for Assistant instructor, Dinghy instructor and Senior instructor courses. All of our instructors are volunteers, and are usually quite happy to take out less experienced sailors, especially on our “Picnic and Play” Saturdays.
The adult level one and two course is held twice a year, once in spring and once in autumn. It is spread across 5 weeks, with a
theory session on Thursday evening and a practical session on Saturday morning or afternoon. Here you will sail one
This course is the prerequisite for anyone wishing to drive any of the Swarkestone SC powerboats. During this course
